The UNFICYP Senior Advisor, Mr Aderemi Adekoya and the Senior Police Advisor, Chief Superintendent Fang Li visited Sector 1 of the buffer zone to evaluate mission operations. During the visit they were briefed at the UNPOL office by Team Leader Lieutenant Colonel Konstantyn Kolinko (Ukraine) and Captain Shamel Barsik (Jordan). They also met with UN peacekeepers from Argentina deployed in the area to discuss how UNFICYP is stepping up to meet the challenges of ensuring mission operations continue uninterrupted during the current health crisis.
