01 Apr 2017 - NICOSIA, 31 March 2017 - The Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) wishes to express its sincere thanks to the United Kingdom for its donation of EUR 124,000 made today by H.E. Mr. Matthew Kidd, British High Commissioner to Cyprus, during a visit to the CMP Anthropological Laboratory. This brings direct British financial assistance to the CMP to a total of EUR 297,000 over the past ten years.

01 Mar 2017 - Nicosia, 1 March 2017 - Today, the three Members of the Committee on Missing Persons, Ms. Gülden Plümer Küçük, Mr. Nestoras Nestoros and Mr. Paul-Henri Arni, met with representatives of associations representing the families of missing persons. -
24 Feb 2017 - Nicosia, 24 February 2017 – Big Game Hunting Season started on 3 November 2016. UNFICYP would like to remind hunters that hunting in the buffer zone is strictly prohibited. Entering the buffer zone area in order to perform any kind of hunting activities, including, but not limited to, those contemplating the use of weapons and/or dogs, runs the risk of drawing fire from either of the opposing forces, and is therefore dangerous and irresponsible.

11 Feb 2017 - Nicosia, 11 february 2017 - The CMP has recently finalized the analysis of a set of remains that had been exhumed in 2015. DNA analysis of these remains, conducted by Bode Cellmark Forensics in Maryland, USA, indicated that they belonged to a person who had already been identified and returned to relatives in 2009.
