UNPOL and partners conducted a training on Sexual Gender Based Violence and, children's rights for journalists working for Abyei FM on 9 December 2021. The training is part of sensitization sessions on SGBV organised by UN Police and partners in the Abyei Box. Violence against women remains a major concern in the Abyei area especially its long-term effect on survivors. The training is therefore crucial and timely in enabling discussions on the effects of gender-based violence in the community. It was attended by medical officers, head nurses and Lady Health Workers, and representatives of civil society organizations, UN Women, and the United Nations Population Fund.
