Below the list of Government of Uganda holidays and those that will be observed by the United Nations in 2026. Please see explanatory notes.
In reference to General Assembly Resolution 69/250 and 72/19 recognizing the significance of several other holidays and in the interest of respecting diversity of the staff of the United Nations, staff members are given the option of observing any one (1) of the following floating holidays in 2026:
- Wednesday, 7 January - Orthodox Christmas
- Tuesday, 17 February - Lunar New Year
- Friday, 20 March - Nowruz Day
- Friday, 10 April - Orthodox Good Friday
- Thursday, 28 May - Day of Vesak
- Wednesday, 3 June - Martyrs Day
- Monday, 21 September - Yom Kippur
- Tuesday, 10 November - Diwali
- Monday, 23 November - Gurpurab
